Visitations to classrooms should not be made at arrival or dismissal time. Please pre-arrange a meeting time with your child's teacher.
Policy:
Arrivals
The School's bus monitor will open the door at 8:20 a.m. Children should arrive between 8:25 and 8:45 a.m. Parents should sign students in at the office and remain with students until the bell rings. Children who arrive after 8:45 are recorded as tardy. Parents should indicate the reason the child is tardy for determination of excused or unexcused.
Dismissal Details
For safety purposes children should not be taken from bus lines or directly from the classroom. If you plan to have your child dismissed prior to 2:45 p.m., please send a note that morning along with your phone number.
End of the day
The majority of our students take the bus. We acknowledge there are occasions when students will need to be picked up. Dismissal at 2:45 allows students and parents to leave the building before the first bus dismissal, lessening congestion and aiding overall safety.
To allow us to effectively manage bus dismissals and dismissals to parents, you are asked to adhere to the following process:
- The Cafeteria door will be opened at 2:40 p.m. daily
- Parents or others designated adults will sign students out on provided sheet. Note: children will only be dismissed to adults designated by guardians (please send a note when someone different will pick up your child)
- All parents/guardians must wait in the cafeteria.
- At 2:45 pm a staff member will call down the dismissed students to the cafeteria.
